For his first major retrospective Sur les traces de la Mer du Nord..., on show from 1 June to 1 September 2024 at BPS22, Éric Fourez (Tournai, 1946) is presenting the entirety of his work, from the surrealist paintings of the early 1970s to the hyper-realist white canvases of today. This monograph accompanies this major exhibition.

Around 40 paintings are presented in chronological order, retracing the painter's fifty years of creativity. They come with three texts: one by Pierre-Olivier Rollin, Director of BPS22, Véronique Bergen, Writer and Philosopher, and Claude Lorent, Art Critic and Curator of this exhibition, for which he was given carte blanche.
