Opening the three-shows cycle conceived using the collections of the Hainaut Province and the BPS22, Uchronias reinvents new artistic parentages between ancient, modern and contemporary art to produce "other" histories of art distinct from the official history.

In literary or cinematographic fiction, uchronia is a genre that rests on the principle of rewriting History from the alteration of an element of the past. Amalgamating various artistic schools and historical periods, the show gathers more than seventy works. Structured in six chapters, Mythologies Politiques, Ailleurs, Frêles Bruits, Paysages Métalliques, Soleil Noir and Néo-gothiques (Political Mythologies, Elsewhere, Frail Noises, Metallic Landscapes, Black Sun and Neo-Gothic), the works exist side by side, prolong one another, respond or oppose quite independently from their classification in traditional history of art.
