Interreg micro-project "BPS22+Frac"

News

BPS22 and FRAC, Fonds régional d'art contemporain Grand Large - Hauts-de-France, are starting a year of collaborative initiatives within the framework of an INTERREG micro-project supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the long-term aim of which is to build links between Dunkirk (FR) and Charleroi (BE).

One of the points of convergence between Charleroi and Dunkirk is the fact that two major players in the contemporary art world are active within these two cities, which are now major centres of attraction in their respective territory. The "BPS22+FRAC" project aims to forge close links between these two major public institutions that are dedicated to art and its accessibility.

By stimulating an exchange of knowledge and expertise specific to audience development and engagement, the BPS22 and FRAC will help visitors become aware of the existence of the partner museum institution, perfect the professionalisation of their staff by sharing experiences, and increase their notoriety and therefore their interregional attendance.

Until 31.12.2019, the BPS22 and the FRAC will offer a free programme of events and visits, which are intended to become permanent fixtures. The teams from the two institutions will also meet to exchange experiences in terms of reception and cultural mediation.
